Located just 30 minutes from Boston, and flanked by inns, the 1780 House is located in the center of historic Concord, MA.
With 10 designated parking spots, and located immediately next to shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as walking distance from historic sites such as the Old Manse and the Old North Bridge, the 1780 House is located in the center of American history.

Catering & Equipment
We have a preferred list of caterers that provide full-service catering, as well as a list of providers who can deliver prepared food.
A distinguishing feature of the 1780 House is a complete set of rental equipment that we keep in house. We make it available to our clients to rent for a fraction of what leading event rental companies charge.
The Gallery

Located on the 1st floor of the 1780 House, the Gallery is an art gallery and open-concept event space.
The space allows for magnificent natural light during the day and glows with warmth at night. The gallery is surrounded by art, wood-burning fireplaces crafted from original bricks, exposed industrial steel beams, wooden beadboard ceilings, and floor boards made from 15" wide planks of yellow Southern pine.
Includes projector, 110" projector screen, Sonos sound system, & wifi.
Can be used for cocktail parties, dinner parties, meetings, & photoshoots.

The Spaces
The Boardroom

The Boardroom is located on the 2nd floor of the building and is ideal for meetings, workshops, off-sites, or private dinner parties.
Fitted with a hand-crafted wooden conference table and Italian leather chairs by Poltrona Frau, the room also has original windows with views of the historic downtown center of Concord, MA. Pocket doors ensure an intimate private setting.
There is also a small staff kitchen and one bathroom on this floor. The 2nd floor is not wheelchair accessible.
Includes projector, 110" projector screen, sound system, and wifi.

For meetings - we can fit a few more in chairs in the back if you don’t need everyone to be seated at the table.

The Catering Kitchen

The 1780 House has a state-of-the-art kitchen that is perfect for catered cocktail parties, dinner parties, and corporate events. For events requiring catering, it’s included in your rental price. We do not rent the kitchen or anyone’s personal use.
Only for use by caterers who are there cooking for an event, amenities include:

While we can accommodate all sorts of events, we would say that the following are in our sweet spot:
Corporate meetings
Private and corporate dinner parties for 20 - 25 people with an hour of cocktails and mingling to start
Cocktail parties for up to 50 people

While we wish we were perfect for all events, here are some that we’re less suited for given the nature of the art gallery space itself, the fine art on the walls, and the fact that we’re flanked by inns on both sides:
Loud concerts: While we love live music and definitely consider events with quieter music, big loud concerts with people partying are not suitable for our space.
Events with dancing: We all love a dance party, but our gallery space just isn’t conducive to that with the art on the walls and multiple beams.
Kid parties: We love kids. We have 4 of them ourselves. But our space is less ideal for kid-focused parties (birthday parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, etc.)

Our pricing varies according to different variables (day of the week, month, which space you are renting, etc.) For example, a Saturday night in December in the Gallery is more expensive than a Monday morning in February in the Boardroom.

Yes. Designated onsite parking is available behind the 1780 House for 10 cars.
Additional street parking is available immediately nearby, as well as two public lots on Keyes Road (behind Middlesex Savings Bank & the Concord Visitor Center), a 3 minute walk from 1780 House.

Unfortunately, not. All food & alcohol must be provided by a licensed caterer or bartender.

Unfortunately, not. We make big investment of our time to personally train all of our preferred caterers and their teams on our space and how everything works, so that your event is as seamless as possible. For this reason, we do not accept one-off caterers.

Unfortunately, not. Equipment can either be rented directly from us for a discounted rate - or through your caterer at regular rates.
The one exception is for daytime corporate rentals. If desired, we do allow bring-your-own disposables for coffee, lunch, and afternoon snacks.

Unfortunately, we do not rent the kitchen only to anyone. It’s only for use by caterers-only during catered events.

Yes. We are actually surrounded by inns on both sides. The historic Colonial Inn is on one side of us and The Northbridge Inn, a bed & breakfast, is on the other.
Further away, but still in Concord, there is a Residence Inn, Marriott.
A mere 12 minute drive away in nearby historic Lexington, MA, we would recommend The Inn at Hastings Park, part of Relais & Chateaux.

Located 20 miles west of Boston, Concord is a picturesque New England steeped in American history. We are located right in the historic center of the town.
State highway Route 2 runs through Concord, and Routes 128/95 and 495 are conveniently accessed.

Concord is served by the MBTA commuter rail to Boston, Cambridge and Fitchburg.
The Concord stop is .7 miles from 1780 House (3 min. drive, 15 min. walk).
